Different: Different Faith

We provide questions each week based on the theme of our service for our Verve Groups to use. If you're not in a Verve Group, feel free to use them on your own.
This week we continued the series called Different and talked about Different Faith.
  1. When is a recent time when something went wrong? How did you respond?
  2. In general, how do you think you initially react when things go wrong or different than you expected?
  3. James 1:2 in the New Testament of the Bible says, "Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy."
    • When you are facing troubles in your own life, how can you remind yourself to consider them an opportunity for great joy?
  4. In the message this week, we learned that trials reveal your faith. How have you witnessed this personally?
  5. We also talked about having a "genuine faith". Would you describe your faith as genuine? Why or why not?
  6. What's the difference between belief and conviction?
  7. When was the last trial you've been through? How did it grow your faith?
  8. Vince said if we understood how valuable our faith is, we would be willing to go through anything to grow it. How valuable is your faith to you? Why?
  9. Weekly Check In Question:  What could we be praying for you this week? (Is there something good we could celebrate with you, or a challenge you need God's help with?)
