Liking the Ones You Love 5/17/2020

We provide questions each week based on the theme of our service for our Verve Groups to use. If you're not in a Verve Group, feel free to use them on your own.
This week we had an online service in the Liking the Ones You Love series.
  1. If you were kidnapped and could send only one tweet, what would you tweet that would make people know you were in trouble and needed help? (Ex: I'm so glad there are no sports on tv during this pandemic!)
  2. Describe the marriage you witnessed growing up. What should be repeated and what would you change in your own marriage, either now or in the future if you aren't currently married?
  3. Do you think communication or forgiveness is more important in a marriage? Why?
  4. Psalm 127:1 says, "Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain." In what ways are you not allowing God to build in your own life?
  5. Do you believe the honeymoon phase of marriage has to wear off after time? Why or why not?
  6. Revelation 2:5 says, "Remember the height from which you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first." What things do you need to repent in your life?
  7. Why is the percentage of marriages ending in divorce around 50 percent?
  8. Name ways you could improve liking the ones you love.
  9. Weekly Check In Question:  What could we be praying for you this week? (Is there something good we could celebrate with you, or a challenge you need God's help with?)
