SAY WHAT? (What is the passage saying?)
- This Psalm opens talking about how wicked people set a course to reject God and be sinful.
- Then the writer tells about how loving God is and how he’s always faithful.
- The Psalm ends asking God to continue showing his love to those who follow him.
- This Psalm talks about the faithfulness and love of God in a poetic way. Check out verse 7: “Both high and low among men find refuge in the shadow of your wings.”
- This is one of the coolest things about God: he is no respecter of the social status or wealth of a person. God welcomes everyone; people from all walks of life find refuge in him. He is less concerned about our external appearance and a lot more interested in what's going on inside of us.
- How does it make you feel reading verse seven? Isn’t that how we would want our God to act? Have you ever stopped to think that God looks at what is going on inside your heart just as much as what actions you are doing?
