Fight Club: Fight for Your Family

We provide questions each week based on the theme of our service for our Verve Groups to use. If you're not in a Verve Group, feel free to use them on your own.
This week we continued the series called Fight Club and talked about Fight for Your FamilyIf you missed it, you can listen to it here.
  1. What is your favorite childhood memory and why?
  2. Tell us about your family and how they have helped shape you into who you are today.
  3. Growing up, did your family handle conflict well? Why or why not? How does this impact how you handle conflict today?
  4. Read James 1:19 in the New Testament of the Bible. Does being quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry describe you? Which one of these is the hardest for you?
  5. Do you deal with conflict right away or do you tend to avoid it? How so?
  6. How do you fight for your family?
  7. In Matthew 8:15, it says, "If a brother hurts you, go and tell him- work it out between the two of you. If he listens, you made a friend." What's the most challenging step for you? Go, tell the truth with grace and love or work it out?
  8. Weekly Check In Question:  What could we be praying for you this week? (Is there something good we could celebrate with you, or a challenge you need God's help with?)
