Endgame Easter

We provide questions each week based on the theme of our service for our Verve Groups to use. If you're not in a Verve Group, feel free to use them on your own.
This week we talked about Endgame EasterIf you missed it, you can listen to it here.
  1. Describe your favorite Easter tradition.
  2. When was the last time the ending you were expecting didn't happen? Tell us about it and how it differed from the ending you thought was going to happen.
  3. Read 1 Peter 3:18 in the Bible. How does it make you feel when you read, "He never sinned but he died for sinners to bring you safely home to God."? Why?
  4. If you were alive then and watched, how do you think you would you have reacted to seeing Jesus die on the cross? Would you have lost all hope? Would you have believed that wasn't how it was going to end?
  5. If you were alive then and watched, how do you think you would have reacted to see Jesus alive, after His death? Would it have been hard to believe? How would it change the way you think about ... life? Your life? God?
  6. How has Jesus' resurrection impacted your life?
  7. How should Jesus' resurrection impact your life?
  8. When you experience a setback in your life, do you view it as the ending or do you see it as a set up for a comeback? Why?
  9. What setback are you dealing with right now? How can you improve your outlook in the midst of the setback?
  10. Weekly Check In Question:  What could we be praying for you this week? (Is there something good we could celebrate with you, or a challenge you need God's help with?)
