Verve Haps

This past weekend at Verve was all kinds of awesome:
  • 13 people got baptized!! Baptisms are one of the most exciting things we do at Verve because they're a reminder of why we do what we do. 13 people decided to give their lives to God, and it's going to be so cool to see how each person grows to love God, love people, and turn the world upside down.
  • Concluded our Letters series by talking about a "Dear John" letter. This is the kind of letter unmarried people write to their significant other. One type of letter we discussed is a letter of definition, wherein you define expectations and boundaries for the relationship. In any dating relationship it's important to make sure you're both on the same page about what you want out of the relationship as well as what you're willing (and not willing) to do. We talked about a lot of different ways this may play out in any given relationship, so if you missed Verve this past weekend you can listen to the message online.
