Verve Haps

Memorial Day Weekend at Verve is in the books, and it was great!
  • Continued our Letters series by talking about one of the most helpful yet most overlooked letters you can write: a letter to... yourself. Putting your honest thoughts into words can, among other things, help you see your true identity and help you move closer to God. For example, if you were to make a list of the things you struggle with most in life, you would be able to start taking specific steps toward breaking free from them. When we define our problems, they stop defining us, and we can more easily start depending on God to define who we are and help us overcome our problems.
  • To make it easier for people to start journaling, we gave each person in attendance at Verve journal to take home with them. It will be cool to see how people who have never journaled before start to use it as a tool to grow spiritually and better see who they are as a person and who God made them to be.
  • In the spirit of Memorial Day, after Monday night's service we busted out some root beer floats. It was fun to hang out with other Ververs, get to know each other a little more, and throw down some delicious ice-cream-infused beverages.
  • This Thursday a bunch of Ververs are heading to a 51s game. Gonna be a great time hanging out with other people from our church in a super relaxed environment. We'll be sitting in the right field lawn, so if you didn't get tickets from Verve, you can still buy your own and come sit with us!
