Verve Haps

This past weekend at Verve was pretty unique!

  • On Saturday we had our third annual kickball game at a local park. More than 60 Ververs from all walks of life came out to participate in the most intense competition Las Vegas has ever seen, and after the game we hung out and grilled hot dogs. It was a ridiculously fun event that helped a lot of Ververs get to know other people at our church that they usually don't get a chance to talk to.
  • For the first time in Verve's history we started this weekend's service with buckets! It was fun, fancy and funky. You had to be there to get the full experience, but you can watch this week's service online to see what we're talking about. Reese Witherspoon, Robert De Niro, and Glenn Close also played a part in the service...
  • Continued our Letters series by talking about what it could look like if you wrote a letter to God. One kind of letter you may want to write to God is a letter of complaint. God can handle our complaints, and it's healthy for us to be open and honest with him about our frustrations and hangups. We looked at a part of the Bible called Lamentations, which is basically a letter from a follower of God that is full of complaints. The cool thing about writing a letter of complaint to God is that he just might respond, and it's usually in ways you never expect.
  • We're doing baptisms on June 2nd and 3rd. Can't wait to celebrate lives that God has changed at Verve over the last few months! If you want to know more about baptism, or if you'd like to sign up to be baptized, shoot us an email.
