Verve Haps

Big things happened at Verve this past weekend!
  • Five people got baptized! Baptisms are a perfect reminder of why we do what we do, and it's ridiculously exciting to see people far from God take big steps toward him. Every person who got baptized had a unique background and spiritual journey that led them to take this big step closer to Jesus. Can't wait to see what God does in their lives.
  • We continued our Pinky Swear series by talking about the Vow of Pursuit. One of the biggest reasons so many marriages end prematurely is because life happens and each person in the relationship fails to make their spouse the priority they should be. Other than Jesus, your spouse  should always be your top priority. There are a lot of potential problems that can creep up and cause your attention to shift. It's important to stay intensely focused on making (and keeping) your spouse your top priority after God.
  • Something you can do to help figure out where you are in your marriage and how you could improve is to ask your spouse, "Outside of God, do you feel like you are my top priority?" This may lead to an uncomfortable conversation, but it will help you take big steps toward making your spouse the priority he or she should be.
  • Don't forget that you can now tune in to watch a broadcast of the most recent Verve service on Wednesdays at 6:35PM! We launched this last week to make it easier for people to check out Verve online before they visit in person. If you've got friends who are reluctant to come to Verve with you in person, tell 'em about the new online broadcast and encourage them to check it out.
