Psalms 92 and 93

Today's reading in our daily plan is Psalms 92 & 93. Take a moment to pray, asking God to speak to you from this passage. Then read, using the following notes and questions to help you get everything out of the passage.

SAY WHAT? (What is the passage saying?)
  • In Psalm 92 the author writes about how much they enjoy praising God. Over and over again the writer tells of how good God is in new ways.
  • Psalm 93 is a short one. This psalm speaks about God’s majesty and how he’s eternal and mighty.

SO WHAT? (What are the underlying principles?)

  • These two psalms are good chapters to read over to remind us to always praise God, to make a habit of praising Him.

NOW WHAT? (How will you personally apply this passage?)
  • When was the last time that you took the opportunity to pray and tell God how awesome you think he is? God knows he’s great, he’s God after all, but he likes to hear that we recognize it and appreciate his love. Take a few minutes right now to think about how much God does for you and thank Him.
  • If you want to explore this idea even further, two great books to read are Praise Habit and The Practice of the Presence of God.
