Like a Dog On a Bone

When I was in college I had a conversation with one of my professors about obtaining a PhD. What he told me was surprising. He said that he attained his PhD, not by being smarter than other classmates, but by being more tenacious. He said he set his mind on getting that degree and wouldn't let go until he finished. He said he grabbed on to the goal "like a dog on a bone".

What do you think of when you hear the word "tenacious"? Is it an athlete? A movie character? Jack Black? It's probably not anything to do with Jesus or the Bible. But maybe it should be...

This weekend we'll be hearing about Tenacity and why we need it. It's going to be a huge deal for many of  us who feel like quitting. Come, listen, be encouraged, leave with Tenacity!!

Get a head start by reading...

Mark 5:21-27
