Better Together: Joy is Better Together

We provide questions each week based on the theme of our service for our Verve Groups to use. If you're not in a Verve Group, feel free to use them on your own.
This week we finished the series called Better Together and talked about Joy is Better TogetherIf you missed it, you can listen to it here.
  1. In the Bible, God gives some people "new names." What would you want your new name to be and why?
  2. How are happiness and joy similar and different to you? Which one would you rather have?
  3. When have you experienced the joy of worshipping together? How does this differ from worshipping alone?
  4. Read Hebrews 10:25 in the New Testament of the Bible. Does reading this verse add importance to not miss church each week? Why or why not?
  5. What was your biggest reservation for joining a group? How did you overcome it?
  6. When was the last time you just needed some encouragement and you came to church or group and got it? Tell us how this brought you joy.
  7. Read Psalm 126:3 in the Old Testament of the Bible. What do you need to reflect on and celebrate God doing in your life so you can experience great joy?
  8. Weekly Check In Question:  What could we be praying for you this week? (Is there something good we could celebrate with you, or a challenge you need God's help with?)
