It's Complicated: I'm Talking But No One Is Listening

We provide questions each week based on the theme of our service for our Verve Groups to use. If you're not in a Verve Group, feel free to use them on your own.
This week we continued the series called It's Complicated and talked about I'm Talking But No One Is ListeningIf you missed it, you can listen to it here.
  1. What is a recent book or movie you've read or seen that you would recommend?
  2. What's the funniest text conversation you've ever had with someone who didn't quite know how to text?
  3. Tell us about negative words that were spoken to you that have left an impact on you. Why have you remembered these words?
  4. Read Proverbs 18:21 in the Old Testament of the Bible. How does this make you more cognizant of the words you speak?
  5. Share some positive words that were spoken over you. How have these words shaped who you are today?
  6. Are speaking words of affirmation & encouragement or words of affection harder for you? Why?
  7. Would others say you are a good listener? Why or why not?
  8. Weekly Check In Question:  What could we be praying for you this week? (Is there something good we could celebrate with you, or a challenge you need God's help with?)
