When God Shows Up: The Skeptic Finds Answers

We provide questions each week based on the theme of our service for our Verve Groups to use. If you're not in a Verve Group, feel free to use them on your own.
This week we began the series called When God Shows Up and talked about The Skeptic Finds AnswersIf you missed it, you can listen to it here.
  1. What is the best part of the Christmas season to you? Why?
  2. What part of the Christmas story is hard for you to believe? What makes it difficult?
  3. Are you convinced that Jesus is God? Why or why not?
  4. In John 8:28 of the Bible, Jesus said, "If you do not believe that I am the one I claim to be, you will indeed die in your sins." How does it make you feel that Jesus made this strong of a claim?
  5. Do you think it would have been easier to believe in Jesus back when He was on Earth in human form or now when everything He claimed would happen, happened? Why?
  6. Do you care more about what others think of you or what God thinks of you? How so?
  7. What questions do you have about the Christmas story? Have you sought answers?
  8. Weekly Check In Question:  What could we be praying for you this week? (Is there something good we could celebrate with you, or a challenge you need God's help with?)
