Don't Give Up: Run Through the Wall

We provide questions each week based on the theme of our service for our Verve Groups to use. If you're not in a Verve Group, feel free to use them on your own.
This week we continued the series called Don't Give Up and talked about Run Through the WallIf you missed it, you can listen to it here.
  1. Would you rather: run with someone who doesn't say one word the whole run or run with someone who won't stop talking? Why?
  2. What's the "race" you've been running and what wall have you hit?
  3. In the message, Vince talked about our AQ: Adversity Quotient. Your AQ is how much you're willing to endure before you quit. Do you feel like you have a high or low adversity quotient? How can you increase it?
  4. Where do you tend to put your confidence (in your circumstances, yourself or Jesus)? How has this impacted you wanting to give up at times?
  5. Hebrews 12:2 in the Bible says, "Fix your eyes on Jesus." What is one way you can put your confidence in Jesus to help you when you want to give up?
  6. What wall (indifference, insufficiency, opposition, slow progress, your habits or good intentions) causes you the most struggle? Why?
  7. Do you think if you rely on Jesus for your confidence, things should only go well for you? Why or why not?
  8. What is one step you need to take today to put your confidence in Jesus?
  9. Weekly Check In Question:  What could we be praying for you this week? (Is there something good we could celebrate with you, or a challenge you need God's help with?)
