Questions: I Stay Connected To God And Others

We provide questions each week based on the theme of our service for our Micro Groups to use. If you're not in a Verve Micro Group, feel free to use them on your own.

This week we continued our series called Rehab For The Rest Of Us and talked about "I Stay Connected To God And Others". If you missed it, you can listen to it here.

  1. Vince said, "People are not healthy in isolation and do not heal in isolation." Why do think this true?
  2. Do you have a fully disclosing, confessing relationship with God?
    • Why is this so important?
    • Can you give an example of a time when you were honest with God in a way that may have been a bit uncomfortable for you?
    • How can you develop more of an honest, confessing kind of relationship with God?
  3. James 5:16 says, “Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.”
  4. Why do you think God makes this an important piece to the Christian life?
  5. Why do you think it's hard for us to admit our sins to other people?
  6. How can we overcome those obstacles and "confess our sins to each other"?
  7. Do you have a fully disclosing, confessing relationship with a few friends?
    • Can you give an example of a time when you were honest with friends in a way that may have been a bit uncomfortable for you?
  8. Prayer Question:  What could we be praying for you this week? (Is this there something good we could celebrate with you, or a challenge you need God's help with?)
