Question: You'll Never Change

We provide questions each week based on the theme of our service for our Verve Groups to use. If you're not in a Verve Micro Group, feel free to use them on your own.

This week we continued our series called Flip The Script and talked about "You'll Never Change" If you missed it, you can listen to it here.

  1. What is an area of life where you feel "stuck" these days?
  2. Read Romans 7:15 & 7:18-19.
  3. Can you relate to these verse? How are they true in your life?
  4. Do you find yourself relying on your power or God's power to overcome the strongholds in your life?
  5. The Bible describes God's Word as a weapon to be used to destroy the strongholds (lies) in our lives. Is this how you commonly view the Bible? What lies do you need God's Word to destroy in your life?
  6. Read Romans 8:5-6.
  7. Ryan mentioned the "law of exposure" - that our thinking tends to be shaped by what we're exposed to the most. How has the "law of exposure" been real in your life -- in positive and negative way?
  8. What are some changes you could make to ensure you are exposing yourself more to things of God than the things of this world?
  9. When you compare the person you once were to the person you are today, how do you see positive ways God has changed you??
  10. Prayer Question:  What could we be praying for you this week? (Is this there something good we could celebrate with you, or a challenge you need God's help with?)
