Questions: Wise Relationships

We provide questions each week based on the theme of our service for our Micro Groups to use. If you're not in a Verve Micro Group, feel free to use them on your own.

This week we continued our series called #wisdom and talked about "Wise Relationships" If you missed it, you can listen to it here.
  1. We were created for relationships (see Genesis 2:18). 
  2. Can you describe a relationship that you would consider great and a relationship you would consider bad? What made the one great and the other bad?
  3. Read Proverbs 13:20. Why is a commitment to living wisely such a critical component of a great relationship?
  4. Are the people you are in relationship with committed to living wisely?
  5. Do you consider yourself a person who is committed to living wisely? How so?
  6. Read Proverbs 11:5. Why is a person's unwavering trust and honesty such a critical component of a great relationship? 
  7. Would you consider yourself a person with unwavering trust and honesty?
  8. Describe a time when a close friend or loved one told you the truth even though it hurt. Why is this such an important quality for our relationships to have?
  9. When were you burned by gossip? 
  10. How do we avoid gossip within our relationships?
  11. Read Proverbs 25:19. Describe a time when you were burned by an unreliable person. 
  12. Why is loyalty such a key component to wise relationships?
  13. Would you consider yourself a loyal person? How so?

  15. Prayer Question:  What could we be praying for you this week? (Is this there something good we could celebrate with you, or a challenge you need God's help with?)
