Questions: The Grave Robber

We provide questions each week based on the theme of our service for our Micro Groups to use. If you're not in a Verve Micro Group, feel free to use them on your own.

This week we continued our series called Need A Miracle and talked about "The Grave Robber" If you missed it, you can listen to it here.
  1. If you could turn back time and undo something you did or said, what would it be?
  2. Thomas Jefferson cut the miracles out of his Bible because he didn't believe in them.
    • In what ways is it a struggle for you to believe in miracles?
    • What miracles are you not believing God for?
  3. Read John 11:17-44
  4. We learned that Jesus is not just the God who makes bad people good, He is the God who brings dead people to life.
    • In what ways have you experienced that?
    • In what ways do you still need new life?
  5. Vince said, "Before God brings something to life, something usually dies." Is there something in your life that needs to "die" so God can bring you new life?
  6. Mary, in verse 22, says, "even now." Despite what's happened she still believed God could do something. Where do you need an "even now" kind of faith?"
  7. Accountability Question:  How have you allowed God to love you just the way you are, and how have you allowed Him to show you where He loves you too much to leave you that way?
  8. Prayer Question:  What could we be praying for you this week? (Is this there something good we could celebrate with you, or a challenge you need God's help with?)
