Verve Haps

It's hard to ask for a better weekend than this past Sunday and Monday!
  • Continued our Drop The F-Bomb series by talking about more reasons why we should forgive. Among other things, we are to be agents of God's love -- that is, we should look for ways to overwhelm people with God's love and to overcome evil with good. Once we reach a point where we can accept God's forgiveness, we need to look for ways to extend that forgiveness to other people. That's how we can change the world one life at a time.
  • Each service started with our band playing "Unforgiven" by Metallica. Any weekend you can play a little Metallica is a great weekend.
  • On Sunday night we threw an epic party for middle and high school students at a local laser tag place. The shindig lasted into the wee hours of yesterday morning. It featured countless amounts of laser tag battles, arcade games, pizza and, of course, body odor. Everyone had a great time, and there were several students in attendance who hadn't been to Verve before. The whole reason for having this event was to create an opportunity for Verve students to invite their friends to check out Verve. Can't wait to see the new faces become more connected to our church!
  • An all-new round of Verve U begins in t-minus one week! If you haven't already, sign up for a class now before it's too late.
