Verve Haps

2014 is off to a great start at Verve!

  • After each service this past Sunday and Monday we threw a big block party in our lobby. It had the works: popcorn, face painting, cotton candy, video games, a professional-grade photo booth, and a ton of other fun things. We love creating opportunities for Ververs to hang out with one another!
  • This past weekend we started a new series called The Left Out Right Arm. In this series we are taking a pretty intense look at what it really takes to follow God. Anyone can claim to be a Christian, but most people don't realize what a relationship with him is supposed to be like because they don't invest the energy in learning more about Jesus and growing close to him.
  • We talked about what it means to be "lukewarm" -- that is, when someone wants God to be in their life but not necessarily first in their life. If someone is lukewarm, the Bible says they may as well not know God at all. It can all sound kind of harsh, but it's rooted in love; you can listen to this week's message to find out how.
  • In 2014 we are taking teams on three international mission trips, and this has created a really cool buzz around our church. It's exciting to see Ververs embrace our mission of loving God, loving people, and turning the world upside-down.
