Verve Haps

December at Verve is off to a great start!
  • We love to ambush our community with God's love, and this holiday season we are aiming to make Christmas happen for kids who would otherwise get nothing. Dean Petersen Elementary is located in a poverty-stricken area of Las Vegas, and throughout the year we look for ways to serve them. From now through December 16 we are collecting unwrapped gender-neutral games and puzzles that will be given to students at Dean Petersen. It's been so cool to see Ververs' generous response so far, and it's exciting to think about the impact this will have on families in our community. If you haven't yet brought in games or puzzles, you have just under two weeks to make it happen!
  • Speaking of holiday season... plan now to attend one of our four identical Christmas services! We are offering identical services on:
    • December 22 at 10:05 a.m.
    • December 23 at 7:05 p.m.
    • December 24 at 5:35 and 7:05 p.m.
  • This past Sunday and Monday we continued our Giveitudes series by talking about the Giveitude of Worship. A lot of Christians believe worship involves little more than singing, but the Bible actually says worship involves sacrifice. Because money tends to be one of the things we think about and pursue most, giving sacrificially to God is one of the best ways we can worship him.
  • Next week we're wrapping up this series by talking about our money-back guarantee. It's one of the crazier things we offer at Verve; make sure you're there to hear about it first-hand!
