Verve Haps

There was no better way to celebrate the end of Daylight Savings Time than by hanging out at Verve this past weekend!

  • We continued our series called The River by talking about the fact that God's will for us is good, pleasing, and perfect. The Bible says that God wants to give us the "desires of our heart." He wants your life to be fulfilling, and he wants you to achieve all your dreams. It's important to point out, however, that our dreams and goals and desires often change as we grow closer to God. (The message also featured a fart joke and terrible pick-up line. If you weren't there in person, make sure you experience the service online.)
  • The Bible, as well as other people who are growing closer to God, are perfect resources through which you can filter your desires to make sure they are in the best interests of your spiritual journey. Every day here on the Catalysts blog we walk you through a different section of the Bible so you can better apply it to the situations you're facing. We also offer micro groups, which are groups of 3-5 guys or 3-5 girls that meet weekly to help each other grow closer to God. If you're part of Verve and aren't connected to a micro group, there's never been a better time to sign up for one!
  • Our student ministry took last Thursday off for Halloween, but we are back in action at 6:35 this Thursday night. If you're a middle or high school student, come on out!
