Verve Haps

Man, this past Sunday and Monday... what a great weekend at Verve!
  • Three people got baptized! That means three people have, at some point in the last couple of months, reached a point in their journey with God where they realized they were ready to completely give their life to him. Each person who got baptized had a very unique journey that led them to God; most had been away from church or anything God-related for decades before they found Verve and began to grow closer to God. It's going to be awesome to see each of these people continue to grow in loving God and loving people.
  • We wrapped up our Life in 140 series by talking about peace -- specifically, how you can achieve a greater sense of peace in your own life. There are a ton of ways this may play out, but one big barrier that often prevents people from finding peace is forgiveness (or lack thereof). If there's someone in your life you haven't forgiven, that probably weighs on you more than you realize. By ourselves we can never truly forgive someone. Fortunately, Jesus makes that possible, and forgiveness can come way more easily if you depend on Jesus to provide you with what it takes to forgive someone who has seriously hurt you.
  • Excited about this upcoming weekend! On Friday night we're throwing a Back-to-School Bash for middle and high school students from 6:35 to 9:00 p.m. We're also pumping up this coming Sunday and Monday, the 15th and 16th, as the official Come-Back-to-Verve Weekend. If you've been wanting to try Verve, or you've been wanting to reconnect with our church after being away for a while, this is your perfect chance!
